Cause:The instance this process was connected to was terminated abnormally, probably via a shutdown abort. This process was forced to disconnect from the instance.
Action:Examine the alert log for more details. When the instance has been restarted, retry action.

Restore and Recover Fuzzy datafiles

Hi guys thanks for the reply here are the result I used _allow_resetlogs_corruption recreate the controlfile open resetlogs now I have ORA-01092 (search metalink only hit 2 results) is upgraded

dbca fails with ORA-01092

I just installed oracle 10.2 onto SuSE 9.3 w/o a hitch. No errors or warnings at all. I then proceeded to install a test db using dbca and it pukes with ORA-01092. metalink listed a scad of possible

4 node 10g RAC

Hi group I created a template from a stand alone single node database using dbca and used that to create a database with a 4-node RAC setup on SLES9 SP2 RC2. I can startup the first instance
