dbca fails with ORA-01092 2005-07-18 - By Weiss, Rick
Chuck:
I have seen this several times in building a database using DBCA, my workaround has become to let DBCA create the scripts (I always build a customized database, not the canned cloned ones supplied); then I run the scripts from SQL*Plus myself avoiding the automated junk that never fails to bite me.
This means that you will have to run NETCA and create your listeners and TNSNAMES entries independently of the DBCA process.

I just installed oracle 10.2 onto SuSE 9.3 w/o a hitch. No errors or warnings at all.
I then proceeded to install a test db using dbca and it pukes with ORA-01092 (See ORA-01092.ora-code.com). metalink listed a scad of possible causes, none of which seemed to apply to the usage of dbca (unless their is a bug in dbca)
Anyone see this problem before?
Thx, CC
